Yea, its a beach boys tune!I am starting to build up a impressive list of devices in the database, I would really like a backup - restore feature in case of accident (Y2K, Children, etc) Jonathan

Jonathan No problem, go to C:\ProgramData\CastleOS\CastleOS Core Service and make copies of the files configuration.xml and log.sdf (not log.log). In the event you ever need to restore from scratch, just copy those two files back into that folder and restart CastleOS, and it will load all your existing settings. You can also use the same method to move CastleOS to another computer. edited by ccicchitelli on 2/7/2014

The latest update of CastleOS creates an automatic backup file in the same location, named Configuration.Backup.xml. We saw instances where a computer crash could corrupt the XML file, so this way there will always be one good copy on hand. If your main config file ever gets corrupted, just delete it and replace it with a copy of this file, with the .Backup removed from the file name (i.e. configuration.xml not configuration.backup.xml).
