How do I go about resetting or recovering a lost Password for my HUB? I travel a lot and have misplaced my log on ID and password. I wasn't able to really get familiar with the HUB before I left. Now the HUB displays a completely different log on window that shows "Castle OS" and the password box. Also, I keep hearing about a license code.. Do I need one for my HUB? If so I have not received one. Please reply by private message or post here in case there are others out there in the same boat. Thanks Chris.

If you open the configuration.xml file, you can replace what is currently there for admin password with this:

adminPassword="$2a$10$QC.HSqKatlZs.BrHc9kiA.RUQuEoEBM61h00FAj6KdLRJ9ZtWbDay"

That will reset your admin password to "password1234". I'll resend your license email now...

I also have mis configured my admin password. A search does not show a configuration.xml file on my computer. A look in the castleos directory also does not show a configuration.xml file. Has it moved or been renamed in a later build?

Hi Kent! You can find the configuration.xml file in the following directory. Please note it is hidden so you'll need to directly copy and paste this into your explorer, or enable "Show hidden files and folders" in your Explorer settings. C:\ProgramData\CastleOS\CastleOS Core Service

Thanks!!
