Philips Hue bridge not found

I've been testing the free version of your CastleOS, trying to connect my Philips Hue bridge, but nothing. I've tried updating the firmware on the bridge, and it says it's up to date, but the firmware version still reports as 1.11.
Also, my Sonos devices show up, but on some occasions the device names dissappear and I cannot stop and restart the service, It tells me the service is busy, but even after some time, I still cannot stop the service without shutting down the system. I was hoping this would be a little easier to set up than openhab, and save me some time. Looking forward to your assistance

I should also add, my main reason for testing your CastleOS is the already developed voice capabilities (both speech recognition and tts). Although I have yet to purchase CastleOS, I am committed to getting it working as I have two kinect units and an insteon PLM on order. Once I confirm that all of these units as well as my existing Hue and Sonos system work well I will be purchasing your software. Until the kinect and PLM arrive I will be testing the hue and Sonos. I am familiar with C++, Java and fluent in Object Pascal, so I don't anticipate any issues getting to know C# and diving into some scripting. Again, looking forward to your assistance. |

Okay, with this Beta version the Hue bridge is now recognized and the hue lights are controllable however from time to time my Sonos devices lose their device names and a service restart is required to get them back. That said, I am still unable to stop the CastleOS service so the only way I can have the computer running without CastleOS is to set the service to manual mode before restarting the computer.
Also, I received my Insteon PLM (2413U) yesterday, and after much playing, I finally got CastleOS to recognize the Modem. Initially it would not find the deviceID. It seems that once the COM port was identified and saved the CastleOS service had to be restarted before the ID would be pulled in. Now that I have the 2413U recognized (I have a ton of older X10 devices), I tried to add one of my standard dimmable X10 lights, but with no luck. I've specified the following on the Add Device screen:
Device Type: X10 Device Name: Front Entry Light Device Address: A2 Group 1: Living Room Group 2: None Group 3: None Slave to: This is not a slave Model: Generic X10 Dimming : Enabled Wattage: 12
But when I click on the Add Device button it responds with "Error: Something went wrong! Press use the menu above to try again"
any ideas? |

Media player control

I need to be able to control a software media player capable of playing my collection of bluray 3D movies. The only players of which I'm aware are WinDVD and PowerDVD. I currently use PowerDVD. Will CastleOS be able to control this software product or any other software player capable of playing bluray 3D movies. |

Hey Chris, the silence is deafening, any news, good or not so good would be welcome. I suspect you've run into some unexpected delays with version 2, but it would be good to hear something. |

Apologies all!!! I've been heads down the last couple days trying to finish up the last of the initial 2.0 release. Really sorry about the lack of release the last few weeks, I've been diverting some of my attention towards the business side of things, as we prepare for the next steps. I'm really really really trying to get this out by the end of this week!!
Thank you all for your patience, Chris |

Sonos voice control

I finally have my Kinect device recognizing commands in CastleOS and have tts responses being sent to my sonos, however when a response is sent to the sonos, what ever was previously playing (playlist or radio station) stops and never restarts. Is there a way to have CastleOS restart the previously playing stream or are there voice commands which would allow one to ask CastleOS to play a playlist or Radio Station on a sonos device? |

okay, I have the Insteon PLM and CastleOS is recognizing it, but I cannot add an X10 device. When I try to save the device it tells me an error occurred and to Press use the menu button above. So I cannot add my X10 devices. This is my last issue to overcome before my purchase decision. |

There is an error log in C:\ProgramData\CastleOS\CastleOS Core Service\Errors.xml. Anything in there?
Also, are you running the latest beta here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B4ZX9h5IVCtnREk0TnZ2eldUWTQ&usp=sharing
The errors file indicates an internal server error. Prior to installing CastleOS, I had another web service running on this computer, but it has been completely uninstalled. The attached error.xml file is the result of installing the latest Beta you provided in quoted link and attempting to add an X10 device. |

Hey, What's up Chris. It's been 6 weeks since the end of that week. We need an update. I'll patiently wait a little longer, but without any updates it's hard to be patient :-) It'd be easier if we understood what was going on. |
