Will there be support for network based HA devices

Hello,
Been keeping an eye on CastleOS since it was first announced, quite excited that it is finally in the wild! I'm planning on setting up the beta and seeing how it integrates with my setup (lots of insteon stuff), but was curious if it would also work with network based HA equipment? (I have a GlobalCache IR controller for my entertainment system that is controlled via ethernet).

Hey,
I've installed CastleOS Core Service onto Windows Server 2008, and have the PLM assigned to COM 2. Once the setup was complete, I Launched castleOS, put in COM 2 and the address of the PLM, then tried adding a device. It seems no matter what I do, I'm unable to get the device to respond to commands. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Nick

Just checked out the log, seems to be a lot of errors involving writing to a DB. I've attached the error log.

Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 4GB ram. It's running as a VM, so I'm not sure if that is a potential issue (I've passed the PLM through as a USB device to other VM's without any issues though, and I've made sure to remove it from everything but this VM to ensure no conflicts).
I also poked through the configuration.xml, and noticed that my PLM seems to show up on COM1, even though I put in COM2 on the configuration page. I've manually edited that file and saved it, then rebooted the server. When it comes back up I'll see if this made any difference also.

After making that change to the configuration.xml file, I"m able to control the device! Not sure how it was set incorrectly, but that appears to have fixed the issue smile

Everything should be default, Actually just freshly installed windows server 2008 on this VM a few hours ago. I'll also check out the application logs and post anything I find in there as well.

Activation context generation failed for &quotC:\Program Files (x86)\CastleOS\CastleOS Core Service\AMD64\sqlceme40.dll&quot. Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC90.CRT,processorArchitecture=&quotamd64&quot,publicKeyToken=&quot1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b&quot,type=&quotwin32&quot,version=&quot9.0.30729.4148&quot could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.

See this a few times in the event logs. Perhaps I'm missing some package on the install?

EDIT: Seems to be caused from a missing C++ redistributable. Any idea which one I should have?

Files are in please, rebooting now. Is there anything in particular I should do to ensure the logging is working correctly? I can try turning some devices on and off if that will help?

Put the blank log in, turned some devices on and off and don't see any errors. Also, I noticed that before I wasn't getting a portal page (IT would just keep going back to the login page), but that has gone away now, so I guess that was also related. Everything appears to be in good shape now, thanks!

I plan to use the kinect voice control, just need to pick up a kinect first! Is the windows kinect preferable over the xbox kinect?

CPU pegged at 100%?

Hey There,
Sorry to bug you again, but I've noticed that after a while, the VM I have castleos running on has its CPU pegged at 100% and becomes slow/unresponsive on the webpage. Any thoughts? The CastleOsCoreService is the process at 100%, everything else appears normal.

EDIT: When the page finally times out, I see this error:
Error 310 (net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS): There were too many redirects.
